Cumbria League Barrow 24/6/17 - update

WE hosted the 'Home' meeting of the Cumbria League at Furness academy on Saturday 24th June. Although athlete numbers were down, the weather was kind and BAFSAC athletes posted some good results, with a few PB's amongst them. A huge thanks to the helpers on the day, many of them being at the track on Friday afternoon and from early on Saturday morning. Without this dedicated band this meeting wouldn't take place.

Further to the previous post, we would have liked to have seen the presence of senior members to help with the many jobs that needed doing to ensure it ran smoothly. We had one senior turn up, and he drove especially from Lancashire to offer his services!

Also, it has been noted that athletes/parents are leaving after their events are completed. Come on, we are a team, and your support for the other athletes still to compete would be appreciated. Also there are relays at the end of the day and we have had cases where we couldn't submit a team due to athletes going home.

Results from the meeting will be published on the 'Events and leagues - Track & Field' tab in the next couple of days.
