Sonja Farish - Brathay Track Challenge

Sonja Farish is organising a charity event, the Brathay Track Challenge, On March 14, 2020 9:00:00 AM


This event consists of the following;

A six hour track challenge - complete as many laps as you can in six hours

A two hour track challenge (for children) - there are maximum distances that can be done by one child depending on age, see below

A timed mile


The six hour/two hour events can be done individually or as part of a team.

All profits will be donated to the Brathay Trust which is a charity aiming "to improve the life chances of children, young people and families by inspiring them to engage positively in their communities".  There is some more details on Brathay here - https://www.brathay.org.uk/


There will be prizes for the furthest distances for the six hour and two hour races and for the fastest mile times (both male and female)

Mile - £5.00 (plus booking fee)Six Hour Challenge - £15.00 (plus booking fee)Two Hour Challenge - £10.00 (plus booking fee)

Maximum distances for children in the two hour challenge

In line with UKA guidelines there will be a maximum distance that can be completed by any one child in the two hour challenge which are below.  It's no problem for a number of children to make up a team to do the full two hours as a relay;

8 years - 2km (5 laps)9/10 years - 3.6km (9 laps)11-14 years - 5.2km (13 laps)15-16 years - 10km (25 laps)17 years (55 laps)
